venue Policies

ANIMALS

Service animals individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability are welcome in our venue; pets are not allowed. Our staff reserves the right to remove a patron whose service animal poses a risk or distraction.

BAG POLICY

The following bags are permitted in the venue: Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags, clear backpacks or fanny packs that do not exceed 12" x 12" x 6" (clear bags only). One-gallon clear plastic bags (Ziploc bag or similar). Small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (no larger than 5”x 8”), with or without a handle or strap (can be carried separately or within a plastic bag.

CHILDREN

The Redding Civic Auditorium has numerous performances that children will love as much as adults. Children over age four are welcome at most of these events, with the exception of symphonies, ballets, and operas. Most performances of this type are not recommended for children under 8. Children under the age of 1 do not require a ticket as long as they are seated in a parent’s lap. A ticket must be purchased for all children one year of age and older. This ensures we manage our capacity correctly in accordance with the City Fire Code. Children who are unable to sit quietly during a performance, along with the adult accompanying them, may be asked by an usher to leave the auditorium temporarily. Parents should consider aisle seating when bringing young children who may need to exit if they are restless or need a bathroom break. Booster seats are available on a limited basis.

DOOR TIMES

Door times are strictly enforced. Our venue doors do not open until the advertised door time, which is provided on your ticket and listed on the event page of this website. In limited circumstances, i.e. VIP meet and greets, early access is allowed to select individuals. Restrooms are not available until door times; public restrooms are available at Riverfront Park and the Sundial Bridge.

DRINKING

The Redding Civic Auditorium almost always provides a no-host bar for its events and shows. Premiere Catering owns the liquor license, and manages and staffs the bars. The bar staff ID every customer, and do not serve to patrons under age 21. They reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, including ‘cutting off’ patrons, and will not knowingly over-serve. When a patron’s intoxication disrupts the comfort and safety of Premiere Catering and/or Redding Civic Auditorium staff, and/or other patrons, that patron will be removed from the venue at Redding Civic’s discretion. The bars and the River Rock Café in the main lobby also offer non-alcoholic options.

Patrons are allowed to bring drinks into the auditorium as long as the drinks are lidded. The bar always offers lidded cups for purchase, and patrons may bring a previously-purchased Civic Auditorium lidded cup from home to use.

Drink policies are subject to change per the artists’ discretion. For example, some artists do not allow lidded beverages inside the auditorium, regardless of seating configuration.

OUTDOOR CONCERTS - PERMITTED ITEMS

Blankets (40"x60") are permitted and can be carried separately or within a clear bag. Collapsible lawn chairs are allowed. Lawn chairs are subject to security screening and search at entry. The only beverages allowed in through the gates onto the lawn are factory sealed water bottles 20 oz. or under - 1 bottle per person. Soft, collapsible, reusable water bottles are allowed. No hard or metal water bottles are permitted. Water refill station will be available onsite. No other outside food or drink will be allowed.

SECURITY

No weapons or would be weapons are allowed, including but not restricted to pocket knives, mace, pepper spray, guns, or chains, etc. Every attendee is subject to a thorough search prior to entry. No outside food or beverages allowed. No ins & outs allowed. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.

TICKETING POLICIES

The Redding Civic Auditorium Box Office and its website are the only authorized outlets for tickets to performances inside the auditorium and out on the lawn. Etix is Redding Civic Auditorium’s ONLY authorized ticketing provider. Tickets purchased from sources such as brokers or third-party websites, are purchased at the consumer’s own risk. By purchasing from Etix, our official ticket provider, you are assured that the tickets you receive are valid, are being sold to you at face value, and will be honored by the Civic Auditorium.

Beware of Ticket Scams
There are many online websites or “brokers” that will lead you to believe that they are an official website for ticket purchases for our events.  BEWARE of these websites! If you’re not on reddingcivic.com or etix.com, you’re in the wrong place.

This website is the official starting place for online ticket transactions for the Redding Civic Auditorium. Always start here or from a reddingcivic.com email to purchase tickets online. You will be directed to the Etix ticketing platform: this is the official ticketing system of the Redding Civic Auditorium.

If you purchase tickets from another website or ticket broker, we cannot guarantee that those tickets are legitimate. If there is a problem with tickets purchased from such companies, we will not be able to assist you. Some of the most popular ticket brokers, and third party sellers (NOT authorized by our venue) are Vivid Seats, Ticketmaster, Tickets Center, Ticket Smarter, Event Tickets Center, just to name a few.

No Refunds, Exchanges, or Returns
The Redding Civic Auditorium does not refund, exchange or return tickets that have been purchased. All ticket sales are final.

Ticket Limits
For some pre-selected performances, we will typically impose a predetermined amount of tickets per show per person (regardless of the number of transactions) in order to provide tickets to as many patrons as possible. We reserve the right to cancel, without notice, any or all orders and tickets from individuals who exceed the posted limits. This includes multiple orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information. Persons or organizations purchasing on behalf of a group of 15 people or more, with a group sales contract, are exempted from this policy. Redding Civic Auditorium members also are exempted from the policy.

Notice to Resellers
Because of the popularity of shows at the Redding Civic Auditorium, resellers (also known as ticket scalpers) will purchase our tickets and then re-sell them to unwitting consumers at grossly inflated prices. In order to stop resellers, the Redding Civic Auditorium scrutinizes all ticket orders and reserve the right to cancel, without notice, any purchases that we deem to be suspicious. For example, an order for ten concert tickets from an individual in Florida or other distant location is very likely to be cancelled. If you have placed such an order that the Redding Civic Auditorium cancels, and you dispute our decision, you may call our Ticket Office at (530) 229-0022 to discuss the reason for your purchase.

Redding Civic Auditorium only sells tickets through reddingcivic.com, etix.com, or our physical Box Office, located at 700 Auditorium Dr. in Redding.

If you are having trouble with an online ticket purchase, or have questions about the legitimacy of your tickets, contact our Box Office at 530-229-0022 Friday and Saturday, 11-5.  You can also email us at info@reddingcivic.com!
